A comparison of the neutron flux (left) and the standard error of the neutron flux (middle) is presented between the legacy algorithm, using two different values of R, and the new algorithm, where R is adapted at each change in time step size according to the adjoint-based scheme. The figure on the right displays the FoM ratio between the new and legacy algorithms. This analysis is provided for both Russian roulette (top) and combing (bottom).
